How to buy prescription glasses online?

You can buy optical glasses online according to the following process.

1.Choose the color.

2.Choose the Prescription Type.

Take a close look at your prescription from the Optometrist. If you don't have Addition (ADD), please choose Single vision. If you have Addition (ADD), please choose Progressive. 

Single Vision lenses are the standard eyeglass prescription. These glasses are for one field of vision across the entire lens. Correct one field of vision (near, intermediate, or distance).

Progressive lenses correct near, intermediate and distance in one lens. In a progressive lens, the shape of the corrected part of the lens is approximately that of a funnel or mushroom. The top portion is used for distance-vision, the middle portion (corridor) for mid-range vision, and the bottom portion for the near-vision or reading.

Non-prescription lenses offer protection and style with no vision correction.

3.Choose the Prescription Type and fill in the prescription index.

Lens Type

OD = Oculus Dexter, which refers to the right eye.

OS = Oculus Sinister, refers to left eye.

SPH (Sphere)

Spherical error, or overall power of lens is the basic part of your prescription. A (-) means you have trouble seeing near, and  A(+) means you have trouble seeing things faraway.

CYL (Cylinder) & Axis

A cylinder value indicates astigmatisms or perpetually blurry vision. Axis—measured between 1 and 180°— tell us the orientation of the astigmatism.For "CYL" 0, "AXIS" is not needed.

ADD (Addition)

This number indicates the additional magnification that is added to the distance prescription to get the reading portion of the lens in a multi-focal prescription.

PRISM

Prism is a measure in prism diopters, We can process prism prescriptions to correct eye orientation. The most common application for this is the treatment of strabismus. In eyeglasses, prisms are used primarily for double vision, positional correction, or convergence correction. By moving the image in front of the deviated eye, double vision can be avoided and comfortable binocular vision can be achieved.

PD

PD (PUPILLARY DISTANCE) is the distance between your two pupils in millimeters. PD should be included on your prescription. The PD is needed to manufacture your eyeglasses because it determines the exact optical center of the lens.
